I'm took off addresses since the reunion is over, but will leave names up of people we are still looking for. If anyone surfs across this and wants their info taken off of the website, please let me know!

Dinner Cruise on Lake Erie
The reunion was a blast! Not as many people came as RSVP'ed or said they were coming, but everyone that came had a great time . Brent was driving up from Virginia the day before and couldn't call people that wanted to come because all we had were e-mail addresses. One thing for future reference, make sure at least one organizer is from Erie. It was hard to do the last minute stuff like getting confirmation from people when you're in transit.
Rob Heck and Louis Gavin volunteered to head up the 25th in 2013. (Vegas anyone?!) Hopefully we can keep this blog going and get more more info on people so everyone can be prepared for the next one.
Sorry for the long wait to get these pictures up! I didn't have time to edit or crop the pictures, so they're straight from the camera. If anyone wants copies, e-mail me.

Pictures of Erie - 7/11/08
For those who haven't been back to Erie in a while, here's a picture of the new roller coaster at Waldameer, the Ravine Flyer II, and a shot of the Peninsula from the ferris wheel.

In Memoriam: Gussie Williams
Gussie D. Williams
A lifelong resident of Erie, she was a graduate of Academy High School where she participated on the basketball, track and field, and golf teams. She was employed as a telemarketer and as a loan officer for Money Market. She was also a child care provider. She was a member of Holy Trinity Church of God in Christ. She was a parent rep for the Bay City Youth Football League and a high school booster for Strong Vincent and Central High Schools. She enjoyed listening to music and dancing, playing cards and was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers and Pitt Panthers fan.
She loved her family and her greatest love of all was her two sons, Duane and Derrick. She will be dearly missed by family, friends and the entire neighborhood. Besides her mother, she was preceded in death by a sister, Monica Owens. In addition to her father, she leaves to cherish her memory two sons, Duane Hemphill, Jr. and Derrick Hemphill, Sr., both of Erie; three brothers, Patrick, Robert Jr. and Paul Williamson; six sisters, Rewa Cattledge, Veronica Williams, Sarah Bridgett (Andre), Carla Thomas (Ryan), Emily and Jessica Williamson; six grandchildren, DaeJur, Daeonna, Jaynae, Duane III, Dy’Lhawn and Derrick Jr. Hemphill; two brothers-in-law, Andre Owens and Keith Cattledge,Sr.; godfather, Eddie Lee “Fish” Thomas, Sr.; two godsons, De’Shawn Roberts and Kalik Harris; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.

20th Reunion Update
OK, we've been hearing a lot of buzz through the grapevine and we are trying to nail down dates and plans. Mostly we need to find people. If you are on the "Lost" list, or know anyone else on there, please let us know at: academyhs@gmail.com or respond to this post.
I was thinking that instead of a picnic on the beach, we could rent a covered pavilion at Waldameer and get group rates for rides. It solves the problem of who is bringing/preparing food, and what to do. If we open this up to AHS classes of 1987, 88 and 89 (or more) it will be more fun to see everyone and a side benefit is a greater park admission discount. Waldameer could cater the food and it would be easier to collect money and we wouldn't need to set-up/clean-up afterwards. Admission is free to the park, so if you just wanted to visit at the pavilion and leave, you could.
Here is the website http://www.waldameer.com/Group.html
For the Adults dinner, anybody been on this? http://www.victorianprincess.com/
Also, is there any interest in touring the school? It will be summer, anyone have any contacts at the NW PA Collegiate Academy?
